Every business has its story from fledgling beginnings, when risk feels like everything is at stake. To those opportunities taken, challenges faced, lessons learned and successes achieved.

With more than 18 years experience and 2 generations of family management, Centre Line Paving has made its mark in the road construction industry in Sydney.  Having built a reputation based on quality of work and reliability in service.

Every business has its story from fledgling beginnings, when risk feels like everything is at
Established in 1997 by Terry Gardner his son David,  Centre Line Paving began providing small contract driveways to local bussiness and residents their foirst major contract was creatin aditional paving areas to the sydney helipad this was the oppoertunity the company needed to establish itself.

As the business grew new capitol purchases and new team members became needed. Centreline has taken pride in its people from the begining. As they have grown their reputation enabled them to garner contracts with many local Sydeny councils  through relationships with Major building contractors, They have built and maintained the reputation of Center Line due to his tenacity for business and the ability to just get the job done with minimum fuss.

His Son david, remembers those early days as one of excitment, he says " with any new business you start with out much capitol but a ton of enthusiasm. It amazes me what we achieved in those days with not much more than a bobcat...now im greatful for all the equipment we do have. Our enthusiasmn hasn't changed but the job is done so much easier.

Major projects included  Weastern Sydney International Dragway which for expertise and challenge in raod surfacing was a great achievement.

Center Line not only established its self as a business that focused on the needs of the client but also one with a community conscience with involvement in  raising funds in the Kidney Car Rally, Daves HT Holden is still noticable with its Race Regalia including a rat that squirted water on passes bye. and investing time Both Dave and Terry competed in the 1999 kidney Car rally to Tasmainia and Dave an his mother raced in the 2001 Rally. "Despite the fun in the rally it has been great to be able to raise funds for this great cause." David comments.

Davids father, Terry was both a business man and a family man raising his Son to understand the nature of his business in a long partnership that started even before establisng Centre Line. David often worked with his father at other Companies. So it was a natural progression to creating this new family business.
Sadly, Terry passed away in 2000, but he left with him a legacy of a thriving business, the respect of his peers and friends and a  asting contribution to the community he was involved in.

Not only is he remembered in love by his family he is remembered respectfully by all whom his life touched.

David Took up the reins from his father, and over that time has continued to build on that legacy of good business and a heart for his community having involved himself in fundraising for the kidney association over many years and his community involvement at his local church. David is now the father of three boys. They happily watch his father do business, as they watch and learn the future of Centre Line paving continuing in the family seems a distinct possibility.
